As a member of Soccer Manager you have a choice of competing in two Bajnokság types, being either Szabványos Bajnokság or Egyéni Bajnokság.

Szabványos bajnokságok consist of several Bajnokság types: Angol Bajnokság, Európai Klubbajnokság, Vegyes Klubbajnokság, and several other country specific championships, for example Spanish Championship.

Az Egyéni Bajnokságokat a Soccer Manager közösségének tagjai hozzák létre. A tulajdonos szabhatja meg a Bajnokság típusát, illetve annak szabályait.

A Bajnokság can be permanently closed at the end of a season if it has one or less managers and it is administered by the FMLSZ. If a Bajnokság is due to be closed then a warning message will be displayed within My Home.

Occasionally a Bajnokság will be shut down to conduct maintenance. This maintenance is usually brief to try and minimise disruption. Once this maintenance has been carried out the Bajnokság will reopen.
